More energy
Feeling more awake, clear and resourced through the day — instead of running on empty.
How Qigong works, what adults often notice with regular practice, and how Master Iurii Khomiakov guides you step by step — at your own pace.
Qigong is a gentle Chinese mind–body practice that combines slow movement, relaxed breathing and focused attention. For adults, regular practice supports overall well-being, more energy, a more balanced mood, a better sleep pattern and a feeling of body rejuvenation. Master Iurii Khomiakov teaches Qigong step by step — online worldwide and in person in Florida and Cooperstown, NY.
Qigong (气功) literally means “energy work” or “skill with energy” — read more about what Qigong is. It doesn’t ask for strength or flexibility. Instead it brings together four elements that support each other:
Releasing unnecessary tension from head to feet. A relaxed body is the doorway to every other effect — and the first thing Iurii teaches.
Slow, soft breathing that settles into the lower abdomen. Longer exhales help the whole body settle and quiet a busy mind.
Rooted standing postures and flowing movements open the joints, improve posture and encourage circulation through the whole body.
Calm, focused attention on the body. In Qigong tradition, “where the mind goes, qi follows” — attention gathers and guides energy.
Every body is different, and change grows with consistent practice. These are the changes Iurii’s students describe most often.
Feeling more awake, clear and resourced through the day — instead of running on empty.
A calmer, steadier mind and a more even mood, with less sense of being pulled in every direction.
Winding down more easily in the evening, and a sleep pattern that becomes more regular over time.
Feeling lighter, more flexible and more alive in the body — vitality that supports you as you age.
Qigong supports overall well-being. It is not medical treatment and doesn’t replace your doctor’s advice.
“90% of people who practice Qigong don’t feel energy. And that’s perfectly normal,” says Iurii. Most people begin expecting immediate sensations — warmth, tingling, or flowing energy. But first, you need to awaken your body.
People often struggle to feel energy not because they lack the ability, but because no one has taught them how to properly enter the practice. That entry is exactly what Iurii teaches first.
Before chasing sensations, Iurii teaches you to relax and reconnect with your body — the foundation every result is built on.
Qigong is learned in order. You always know what to practice next — and why.
Exercises are adjusted to your age, fitness and experience. No flexibility or athletic background is needed.
Questions are encouraged, so you understand the practice and grow confident doing it on your own.
Short sequences you can repeat at home every day — because consistency is what brings change.
A short greeting and a moment to let the day go.
Releasing tension and waking the body up, part by part.
Learning calm, deep breathing techniques you can use anywhere.
Qigong exercises for gathering energy and balance.
Time to ask, share experiences and take a routine home.

“If you don’t practice, you can’t expect change. If you’re waiting for overnight miracles, you may be disappointed. And if you practice only occasionally, your progress may be limited.” — Iurii Khomiakov
Qigong combines slow breathing, relaxed posture and focused attention. In Qigong tradition this gathers and circulates qi (life energy). Many adults who practice regularly describe feeling more energized, clear and resourced through the day.
Many students tell Iurii that regular practice helps them feel calmer and more balanced in mood, and that their sleep patterns become more regular. Results vary from person to person and grow with consistent practice.
Yes. Qigong movements are gentle and are adapted to each student’s body, age and fitness. Iurii teaches adults of all ages, and every student progresses at their own pace.
In Qigong, rejuvenation means helping the body feel lighter, more flexible and more alive through gentle movement, relaxed breathing and the free flow of energy — supporting vitality as we age, not promising to reverse it.
No. As Iurii says, you don’t even need to believe everything he says. All you need is the willingness to begin, an open mind and regular practice.
