Understand the practice
A good teacher doesn’t simply demonstrate techniques — Iurii explains what each exercise is for and how to feel it.
A lifelong journey of discovering the connection between body, mind and energy — begun in Ukraine, continued in the United States, and shared today with students around the world.
Iurii Khomiakov (also written Yuriy or Yury Khomiakov) is a Qigong master with more than 20 years of practice and teaching. His path began in Ukraine and continues in the USA, where he teaches in person in Florida and Cooperstown, New York, and online for students worldwide.
Over two decades, Iurii has noticed the same pattern again and again: people struggle to feel energy not because they lack the ability, but because no one has taught them how to properly enter the practice. His teaching starts there — awakening the body first, so breathing techniques and Qigong exercises have something real to build on.
Iurii’s focus is practical and honest: restoring energy, bringing body and mind back into balance, and reconnecting students with their own inner awareness. He is cautious about big promises — and convinced of the body’s remarkable ability to adapt and grow stronger with consistent practice.

More than 20 years of daily practice and teaching — across two countries and many students.
Iurii’s Qigong path began in Ukraine — with breathing, posture and stillness, learned the traditional way: step by step, under the guidance of teachers. Among them was the Chinese Qigong grandmaster Xu Mingtang, whose seminars drew students across Ukraine, and Iurii went on to study with other teachers as well.
Names of Iurii’s other teachers, the city and how he first met Qigong — to be added.
Years of disciplined practice in Ukraine laid the foundation for everything Iurii teaches today — breath, posture, awareness and energy, built step by step.
Levels studied, seminars attended and his first students in Ukraine — to be added.
Moving to the United States, Iurii brought his Qigong practice with him — continuing his own practice and sharing it with new students in a new country.
When and why Iurii came to the USA — to be added.
Today Iurii teaches in-person sessions in Florida and in Cooperstown, New York, and online classes for students around the world — with more than 20 years of experience behind every class.
“For me, Qigong is more than a set of exercises. It is a lifelong journey of discovering the connection between the body, mind, and energy. After more than 20 years of practice, I continue to explore its depth and share what I’ve learned with others.”
“What inspires me most is seeing students become more aware of their bodies, discover inner calm, and develop confidence in their own practice.”
