A message from Iurii

First, you need to awaken your body.

Most people begin practicing Qigong expecting immediate sensations — warmth, tingling, or flowing energy. But the reality is different: first, you need to awaken your body.

“My name is Iurii Khomiakov, and I am a master of Qigong with over 20 years of experience. Throughout these years, I’ve noticed the same pattern: people often struggle to feel energy not because they lack the ability, but because no one has taught them how to properly enter the practice.”

Qigong isn’t simply about experiencing unusual sensations. It’s about:

  1. 01

    Restoring your energy

Gathering and refining energy through breath, posture and calm attention — so you feel more awake and resourced.

  2. 02

Bringing body & mind into balance

Slow, relaxed movement settles a busy mind and helps mood feel more even and steady.

  3. 03

    Reconnecting with your body

Learning to listen to your body again — the inner awareness every deeper practice is built on.

I teach students around the world through online classes, as well as in-person sessions in Florida and Cooperstown, New York, USA.

Restore your energy

When energy runs low, Qigong practice begins with simple exercises for gathering and refining energy, calm abdominal breathing and the steady standing posture known as “big tree.” Many students describe feeling more awake, clear and resourced through the day.

  • Gathering & refining energy
  • Standing posture — “big tree”
  • Relaxed, deep breathing

How Iurii helps: he first teaches you to awaken the body, so energy practice has something to build on — no chasing sensations.

Why I practice Qigong

A lifelong journey between body, mind and energy.

For me, Qigong is more than a set of exercises. It is a lifelong journey of discovering the connection between the body, mind, and energy.

After more than 20 years of practice, I continue to explore its depth and share what I’ve learned with others.

What inspires me most is seeing students become more aware of their bodies, discover inner calm, and develop confidence in their own practice.

What my students say about me

A good teacher doesn’t simply demonstrate techniques.

“I believe that a good teacher helps students understand the practice, develop patience, and discover their own potential.”

Questions

Before you begin.

Honest answers to what new students ask most. Anything else? Ask Iurii directly.

Do I need any experience to start Qigong with Master Iurii?

No. Most students begin with no experience at all. Iurii starts by teaching you how to enter the practice — relaxing, breathing and awakening the body — so beginners feel comfortable from the first class and progress at their own pace.

What if I don’t feel any energy when I practice?

That is perfectly normal. In Iurii’s experience, around 90% of people who practice Qigong don’t feel energy at first. Sensations such as warmth or tingling usually come later, once the body has been awakened through regular, correct practice.

Are classes online or in person?

Both. Iurii teaches students around the world through online classes, and in person in Florida and in Cooperstown, New York, USA.

How often should I practice to notice a change?

Consistency matters more than intensity. Qigong doesn’t work by magic: regular practice — ideally a little every day — is what brings steady progress. Occasional practice brings limited results.

Is Qigong a replacement for medical care?

No. Qigong is a mind–body practice for overall well-being, energy and balance. It is not medical treatment and does not replace advice or care from your doctor.
